Cindy Sheehan Receives Police Apology

Representative Lynn Woolsey reiterated on Thursday her defense of Cindy Sheehan, two days after the grieved mother turned anti-war activist was arrested for peacefully protesting the US occupation of Iraq.

Sheehan, whose son was killed in Iraq, was arrested on Tuesday when she was to attend President George W. Bush's State of the Union address at the invitation of congresswoman Woosley

Capitol Hill Police said her detention was because she was wearing a T-shirt that read: "2245 killed. How many more?” alluding to the number of US soldiers killed in Iraq.

Woosley, who had invited Sheehan to take a seat in the visitors gallery, stressed that Sheehan did not violate any Senate rule by exercising her freedom of speech, even though it was against the President.

She lost her son to this disastrous war. Now she has at least the right to dissent.

The brave California mother has vowed not to rest until the White House and the Pentagon order the return home of the US occupation troops.

Can you believe this? They apologized because they handcuffed her. This woman has more guts then all you lying gangster politicians put together. You lying gangster politician cowards, instead of apologizing to her, you try to start roomers and lies about her.
